Build your confidence with painting and learn to paint in an intuitive abstract way.
During this workshop you will learn how to create abstract paintings in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All materials are provided, and no experience is needed.
My 3-hour workshop will involve practical sessions which will support you in creating 6 abstract paintings and a small canvas. To help you feel relaxed I demonstrate and paint along with you for the first part of this workshop so that you feel comfortable and at ease, even if you have not painted for many, many years. I truly believe we are all born creative and I hope this workshop will help you to get back in touch with your creative self.
I will guide you through a process where you create abstract paintings in an intuitive way - focusing on creating texture and mark making whilst finding out which colours you are drawn to. You will have the opportunity to try lots of tools during this workshop from brushes, palette knives, paint pens and mark making equipment. These techniques are the ones I use to create my own art so I have a lot of experience which I can share with you.
The workshop will take place in my studio which is in my home, and I want you to feel at home as soon as you step through my front door which I why I make homemade lemon drizzle cake served on vintage plates for you to enjoy with your with tea or coffee. The workshop will take place whilst listening to relaxing, calming music which makes the perfect environment for you to relax and enjoy being creative.
You do not need to have any experience, in fact most people who come have not painted since school or for a very long time. My painting workshop will give you an opportunity to try a new skill or a new way of painting and help you find your creative happy place. However experienced or inexperienced you are, I know you will enjoy these 3 hours of creativity.
This workshop is more than showing you a process, I want you to feel at home, relaxed, and for you to see how creativity can nourish your soul.

Where will the workshop take place?
The workshop is held in my home studio in Hallatrow which is 11miles from Bath and 12 miles from Bristol.
How long will the workshop last?
The workshop is 3 hours. This will allow you time for a short break with refreshments and homemade lemon drizzle cake.
What materials will I need?
None at all - all the materials will be provided including aprons. Please however wear older clothes incase of any splashes!
