Ludovico Einaudi, is an Italian pianist and composer. His music is a great inspiration to me. I play his music during my painting workshops where I am teaching others how to paint intuitively and mindfully because it creates a calming atmosphere to create. Divenire, become is the title of one Ludovico’s compositions.

And this series of circle paintings started their life as part of my painting demonstrations during these workshops which gives them a truly intuitive and spontaneous quality. I continued to work on these paintings over a series of painting sessions in my studio until they took on a life of their own, continuing to listen to Ludovico’s music whilst I painted. I love how they circle back to the workshops and the connection to the music.
