This workshop will give you practical sessions on how to create intuitive abstract paintings in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This workshop takes place locally at Conygre Hall, Timsbury which means I can have up to 8 attendees, exciting! There will also be 3 other artists running workshops in the hall, so you can’t fail to be inspired.

My workshop will focus on creating texture and mark making whilst finding out which colours you are drawn to. You will use brushes and palette knives with acrylic paint, and you will try using paint directly from the tube as well as paint mixed with water. You will have 4/6 small paintings on paper and a small canvas to take home with you. These techniques are the ones I use to create my own paintings and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

I’ll give you the support you need to create something you’ll be proud to take home and we’ll make time for a refreshment break and natter too.

• No previous painting experience needed - even if you haven’t painted since school

• All materials provided

• An apron will be provided but please wear older clothes in case of splashes!
