Finding a sense of calm and space was a key part of this painting. I wanted to continue to explore layers upon layers of texture but create larger blocks of colour over the top to create the calm. The soft grey blues and soft pinks work harmoniously together with flashes of yellow golds and bold oranges. Winds of change was inspired by feeling the wind softly touch your face and getting the sense of knowing that something good is about to happen, a change of direction or a new path to follow. The wind gently letting you know.
